They never told you that getting traffic to your website was an art painted by many different colors. Many of you wonder how so many Internet marketers, and regular folks can get so many visitors to their website.
Most people who has a website online needs the traffic and visitors to sustain their presence for valuable information, and also to make money with their site.
Getting a lot of people to your site is the 64 million dollar question, and there is no one way of attracting a large amount of visitors to your website. Have you ever gotten stuck in rush hour traffic?
Most people I know that drives in that hectic rush hour traffic does not like it one bit. They are really happy when they get off at an exit that may be close to their destination.
Most of the time when you are in that traffic you will be moving at a snails pace. Sometime you will come to a complete stop. At other times you will be going at the right speed limit.
There are signs to help you navigate while you are driving on that interstate such as slow your speed sign, a men working construction sign, a two- way lane sign, there is a lot you have to pay attention to while driving in that rush hour traffic.
To avoid this type of traffic a lot of drivers look for different routes to take. If a driver has a electronic device such as a map locator it can come in handy to guide a person on different routes to take.
If you are expected to be at your destination at a specific time hopefully you planned a head before you started on your journey. Another aspect while driving on this freeway did you get gas or fueled up before you took off?
Driving in rush hour traffic can cause a driver to lose or burn a lot of gas. I will tell you that the Internet can be like driving in rush hour traffic. You want visitors to come to your site. There is a process of how and why a visitor might land on your website.
Most people know what they are looking for when they get online, and some people get online just to browse. There are many reasons why people search the Internet. That is what we call traffic.
Do you know where people are going when they are driving in rush hour traffic? Are they suppose to end up at the shopping mall where you will be for your final destination.
Have you ever got lost, or mixed up when you were driving and took a wrong turn on a street you did not recognize? You pulled into a gas station to get directions, and the gas station attendant gave you wrong directions, and hopefully not intentional.
You are now more confused than when you started out on your journey. You are searching at this point to find the right street or destination your supposed to be at.
Sometimes people are searching like you are on the Internet. You may get a visitor to your website by accident. Will you guide this lost visitor correctly? Or will you be like the gas station attendant that misled you further?
The reasons why I mention these incidents are because in getting a lot of traffic to your website can be like rush hour traffic.
There are a lot of things you have to pay attention to while trying to drive traffic to your site. I\’ve seen homeless people on the freeway asking for money or spare change. Many cars just pass by the person and a few will stop and give the person some spare change.
In that example above many cars passed by this person. The homeless person got a lot of traffic. We can be like the homeless person with are website. You may get thousands of visitors to your website, and only a few will pay attention while the rest of the traffic will pass you by like the homeless person.
This traffic is called non-targeted. Targeted traffic is where visitors are looking for you or searching for you. If you get thousands of these types of visitors to your website then this is the best rush hour traffic you would not mind having.
My suggestion in building this type of targeted traffic is a process called article marketing, and writing blogs on unique and different subjects. You can build a loyal following over a period of time. There are other ways too! But I do not want to be like the gas station attendant, and make you more confused.
Keep It as simple as possible to avoid all the dangers of rush hour traffic, and try another route in article marketing and writing a blog, It may turn out to be better than the interstate highway!
I hope that you enjoyed the information from this article, and that you will build your targeted traffic for your website, and that you will appreciate the many visitors that will come to your site.
